Or autumn, whichever you prefer. Either way, I love this time of year. The trees on the mountains are beautiful. The weather, except for these crazy typhoons, is perfect. And of course, some of my favorite sports seasons start.

Another early fall tradition I've grown to love is the local house darts tournament, which was held at Burger Chop last weekend. My partner and I won our group, but lost a very close match in the first round of the knockout stages.



Do you remember Kevin? I hope so! He was the guy who first got me into darts. He also introduced me to Sabu, the owner of Burger Chop and organizer of the tournament. Good people.

Ever since I was a little kid, I've always had some sort of sport to play. When I moved to Japan, I didn't have that for a long time. My stomach shows the effects of missing out on tennis or soccer. And while darts isn't the most athletic sport, I love a good challenge and competition.

So if you're looking for a new hobby, give darts a shot! I'd be more than happy to help you out.
