The fever that is Summer has finally broken; the days are finally starting to cool down a little. I love this time of year! Each night is just a little cooler than the previous, the air just a bit more crisp and refreshing. Football season starts soon, followed closely by ice hockey and basketball. The leaves slowly change into their fall colors. What's not to love?

This weekend we'll have our third annual High Schoolers' Presentation Event. This year, I've been asked to give a presentation in English. Of course, it's about sports. But it's not what you think! It's about MARBLE sports...fake marble sports, at that. What could be so interesting about fake marble sports? Well, you'll have to come check it out!

But for those of you who can't come out to the event, I'll talk about it a bit here too. There's a YouTube Channel called Jelle's Marble Runs (link). This channel hosts the Marble League, formerly known as the MarbleLympics. You can catch this year's tournament here (link).

Even though it's just a bunch of marbles, there's something compelling about the 'competitions.' Choose a team, and watch their successes and failures through the many different events. It's hard not to feel a little excitement!
